The Top 5 Most Beautiful Water Spots |

Waikiki, Hawaii.
#5: Grotta Azzura (“The Blue Grotta”) in Capri, Italy.
In this unforgettable grotto, sunlight leaks through an underwater opening and reflects an almost neon-like blue through warm Mediterranean waters. The spot is so spectacular that it’s said Roman Emperors used to bathe here – these days, you can reach the grotto by boat. The grotto isn’t really open for swimming, but you can access it and enter in a row boat.
#4: Lake Como, Italy.
You might remember Lake Como from the 2006 James Bond film, “Casino Royale.” If the lake’s good enough for James Bond, it’s got to be good, right? One look at Lake Como will convince you: bright blue water meets lush green terrain and some of the world’s most expensive houses dot the landscape.
#3: Lake Atitlan, Guatamala.
Lake Como in Italy comes close to matching Atitlan’s beauty, but it can’t rival the view of three volcanoes that border the lake. It’s not only a beautiful sight, but totally unique and instantly recognizable. Imagine beautiful blue lake water with the background view of titanic lakeside volcanoes and you have an idea of what’s going on at Atitlan.
#2: Copacabana, Brazil.
Perhaps the world’s most famous beach, Copacabana is as famous for its beautiful people just as much as its beautiful swimming. The beach stretches 3 miles in front of Rio de Janiero and the weather is hot and relaxing. For anyone interested in visiting South America for the swimming spots, Copacabana is not to be missed.
#1: Waikiki, Hawaii.
On the island of Oahu, Waikiki beach is up there with Copacabana as an instantly-recognizable, even iconic beach. Like Copacabana, Waikiki is part of a major city – Honolulu. Tourists come to Waikiki from all over the world in search of the ideal “hot” vacation, and who can blame them?
Of course, there are too many beautiful spots of swimming in the world to mention here, so we’ll let you form your own opinions about the kind of swimming you prefer. But it’s safe to say you can find beautiful swimming and sailing on every continent; it just takes a little looking. Do a little more research to find the best water spots that fit your exact tastes and style.

Lake Atitlan certainly is beautiful. It is a real shame that it has become polluted, and is currently unsafe for swimming.
